Bowman Gray Stadium Racing!

I wanted to put a post on my (not so used) blog about the list I've started compiling... maybe I should back up a quick second :)

So earlier this year, Tammy and I watched the Madhouse tv series on the History Channel and absolutely loved it! She's been a long time fan of Bowman Gray racing especially since her dad is an official at the track and she's been going there since she was young. I guess some time has passed since the last time she's been... WELL... needless to say that after watching that great series on TV, we now go as much as we can and root for our favorite drivers! Chris Fleming, Burt Myers and Jason Myers!

It's funny, but all this time I've been traveling back and forth to work and the babysitters, I've passed by the Myers garage what seems like a 1000 times or more and didn't even know it was there!

Anyway... steering this post back to the point! I've been an off and on radio scanner listener for many, many years and have owned several scanners to listen in on the police, fire dept, etc. Well, guess what the drivers/spotters/team mates use to communicate?? two-way radios of course! :) So I've re-acquired my good 'ol trusty Radio Shack Pro-51 handheld scanner (from my sister no less, Thanks Jill!) and have started up a list that contains all of the frequencies that I've been able to capture while listening in at the races. Hard to believe but I bought that scanner way back in '92 or '93 and it works like a charm! (plus it has all the 800MHz frequencies in it, not that anyone uses analog cellphones anymore anyways!)

CRASH!!! Ok, ok back to my list... below is the link to this wonderful list I've started! If you would like to contribute to this list email me scootinater .at. gmail com or you can ask to be an editor on the google doc! It's quite fascinating being able to listen in on all the behind the scenes action at the races! So whether you've come to peruse or help add to it... ENJOY! :) (I did mention FREE as in beer right?)

First nice day of March!

We got home today from Church and shopping... Landyn was running around the car as we unloaded. He has Spring fever I do believe!

After we got everything settled I grabbed my camera, put Landyn's little green dinosaur jacket on, and let him run wild outside!

So let's get to the meat of it...

Clicky here - Pictures of Landyn having a good time outside!

Oh wow... It's been a few months since my last post! I guess my brother has made me want to do an update with PICS!

Enjoy!
