Let's go Bowling!

Today we went to Northside Lanes to do some practice bowling. We have a state tournament coming up in a few weeks and it's good to shake the cobwebs off so to speak. I also brought my camera with and took some pictures of Landyn, Mom, Dad and my Uncle Donnie. Slide show above or hit the link to go directly to them.

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope everyone had a safe and happy Mother's Day. I have a few pictures to share from this afternoon, so let's get to the meat and potatoes eh?

OUCH!!

My poor baby has a little boo boo on his face :( He's trying real hard to walk and unfortunately he falls down. Last night he was in the kitchen and on the other side of the island trying to standup. He must have fallen and skinned his face right under his little eye on one of the cabinets. Since he was on the other side of the kitchen we didn't see him fall, but definitely heard it. I took a few pictures of him today, link below.

I'll be sure to post when he takes his first steps, shouldn't be long now. He's already holding on to things and "walking" around while holding on to them. I thought this morning he was gonna stand up without holding on in his crib! He let go of the rails and was up for about 2 seconds then on his butt :) He's a mess for sure!

Guess I should...

Guess I should show what my new lens looks like. :) It's much smaller than the kit lens that came with my camera. But this bad boy is "fast", which essentially means that you can take much better pictures in low light conditions! That comes in real handy when your photographing in the house with just the lighting of lamps and overhead lights. This is a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8d lens, it's a prime lens which means it has a fixed focal length of 50mm. Basically no zoom, you zoom by moving your feet! :) The only downside to this lens is it doesn't autofocus on my camera - Nikon D40. No big deal just have to do it manually, and shoot off several pics at the same time to make sure I'm in focus :) Love digital, not wasting "film" by rapid firing shots. :) All for now, I'm sure I'll have more pictures to share later! FLIP!

Visits and pictures

Wow what a face :P Yesterday we visited Grammy and Grandpa Denny. Landyn had a grand 'ol time. I took a few pictures of him taking a catnap and some of him playing with his Grammy.
