First Haircut...

Too cute!
Tammy and Landyn visited with her Dad's side of the family last night. They celebrated their Christmas get together, I stayed home with Hailey, she can be a little rambunctious around food, especially when there's a lot of it and it's sitting out tempting her. More on her condition here. This is a photo that Tammy took with her camera phone and sent it to me that night, reposting it here for it's obvious cuteness! Look at Landyn in the back behind Miss Olivia!!

Charlie Brown Christmas Tree...
This year we bought a little tree for the living room. We didn't know how the baby would react to a big tree and lots of presents under it. Plus, we really didn't feel like hauling the big tree out and setting it up. I'm kinda partial to our new "Charlie Brown Christmas Tree" now! :)

If you couldn't tell, I'm really, really loving my new flash! I think I'm getting some pretty good photos just as is... can't wait to get the diffuser I ordered for it and play with the pictures that come out using that. Should be very interesting and a bit of a learning experience. Enjoy the photos!

Today I received my new SB400 flash for my Nikon D40! Here are a few pictures using this wonderful and compact flash. I also have a flash diffuser coming soon. When I can't bounce the flash off the ceiling I can use the diffuser to help alleviate hotspots with direct flash.

Saturday, Mom, Dad, Jill and I went to visit my brother at Chapel Hill. He is in the marching band and they had Senior appreciation day/game. It was good to finally see where my brother has spent the last four years of his life :) We had a grand time, and other than the chilly weather it was quite a day! Enjoy the pictures!

Saw a good article on TUAW today, it showed how to use Photoshop to make a fake tilt-shift lens effect. Basically it gives the effect of toy/miniature look to photos. Works really well on shots of scenery with buildings. I couldn't find any in my immediate library of photos, so I chose another that I thought would look pretty good. I like the results! It draws your eyes directly to the in focus parts of the photo and the main subjects. I'll have to give this another go with a scenic photo, have to search the rest of my photo library :)
